Wednesday, April 15th – AM Half Day or
Friday, April 17 – PM Half Day
The long hours of summers’ daylight encourage us to “get up and go” and yet…. it is awfully nice to find a reason to sit in the shade and be useful. This is a spindle spinning class for the cotton enthusiast. We will make some punis, dress a wrist distaff, then use the hand supported Ahka, bowl supported Tahkli and ancient Bead Whorl spindles. If you have had some, zero or a “fair kip” of experience spinning cotton, join the party. All tools and fibers supplied.
Materials fee: $20 – includes take home wrist distaff and fibers. Instructor will provide: handouts, wrist distaves, Ahkas, Tahklis, beadwhorl spindles (to borrow during class), spinning fibers.
Level: Beginner and Above
