James Perry (known as Longdrawjames) is a 27-year-old fibre artist from the South East of the UK. He has over 15 years of spinning experience with particular interests in woollen spinning and fine yarn. He spins, weaves, dyes, and makes hand-turned support spindles and fibrecraft tools. He also runs an indie-dyed fibre business. He is a chemist by profession and is studying for his PhD in sustainable surfactant chemistry.
A note from the PLY team
James is coming all the way from the UK and we couldn't be happier to have him. His spinning is so impressive (and has been for years and years). We get him to write for PLY as often as we can and I can't wait to take his classes (these will sell out, so grab them while you can!).
