TAUGHT BY BREN BOONE

Spinning for Socks

Wednesday, April 15th – Full Day class
9-5 with 12-2 break

Do you long to spin your own socks? We’ll start with discussing what wool breeds work best for what kind of socks you would like. Then we’ll move to yarn construction and which type makes durable socks that are the most resistant to pilling. Of course, we’ll spin lots of samples, both intuitively and using a control card, angle tool and wpi knit card. At the end of the day, you’ll know the perfect wool, construction, and twist amount for your best pair of socks.
