TAUGHT BY STEPHENIE GAUSTAD

Make It Do

Thursday, April 16th – Full Day Class

“Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without” is a phrase heard many a time. Often we collect snippets, small bits of left out of project materials and that becomes a problem. They are too nice to throw away and not sufficient for a project …. (you’ve thought of yet). This is a chance to reconsider those remainders without “wholesale” jumbling them together. Blends, like salads can be delicious even though they’re made from often surprising bits and pieces.

Wildly fun to build, blends can with a bit of planning make useful, predictable yarns.

Materials fee: $15 – Instructor will provide: handouts, additional spinning fibers, fiber/yarn sample cards.

Level: Beginner and Above

STUDENTS SHOULD BRING

  • Students should bring: a functional spinning device: wheel or spindle with which you are comfortable
  • wool hand carders
  • pen or pencil.
