TAUGHT BY JUDITH MACKENZIE

E-Spinners: Something Old, Something New

Full Day Class
Friday, April 17th

We humans have been spinning since the beginning of time. We’ve spun on our thigh, on sticks and stones, on Great Wheels, on treadle wheels. We even made complex machinery that spins without us! Just when you might think there could be nothing new under the sun, along come e-spinners. In a variety of shapes and forms, these powerful, portable spinning tools have opened up a whole new world for people on the go, people with injuries, people living in small spaces. In this workshop we’ll have a look at what is available in the market place and how to get the most out of your spinner. We’ll spin a variety of fibers and yarn types. We’ll make plied yarns and designer yarns.

Materials Fee: $20

Level: Beginner & Above

STUDENTS SHOULD BRING
