TAUGHT BY CLEMES AND CLEMES

Drumcarding Rare Breeds

Half day class, offered once
Friday, April 21st, 2pm-5pm

In this class, we move beyond the Merinos of the fiber world. Students will card a wide-ranging selection of breeds that are not typically available at the ranch down the street. Fiber artists looking to break out of a rut won’t have a hard time finding a new favorite breed in this class designed to expose even veteran fiber artists to new breeds – including CVM, Jacob, and Wensleydale – and how to process them. All carding and blending will be done on our Elite Series Drum Carders with each student using their own electric carder. All materials, carders, and tools will be provided by the instructors.

Materials Fee: $30 – covers use of a carder, all fiber carded during class, and batt lifter refills for storing carded batts.

Level: Intermediate and Beyond

STUDENTS SHOULD BRING

  • An attitude for learning.
  • All materials and equipment will be provided by the instructors.
