Tuesday, April 14th – 1 Day Class
Have attempts at corespinning resulted in frustration and overspun yarn? This workshop is designed to address common corespinning issues in wheel setup, choice of core, and personal adjustments to achieve the most balanced yarn possible. Students will create sample yarns with a focus on how textures and colors in various preparations are enhanced through corespinning. Experimentation with different core types including commercial, handspun, and wire will also be covered to familiarize students with the advantages and disadvantages of each. Students will leave with loads of sample a working knowledge to continue exploring and how useful and versatile corespinning can be.
