Corespinning Basics

Half day class, offered once:

Friday, April 21st 9-noon

Corespinning is a great basic skill to have for making simple and complex art yarns. If you’d like to learn how to corespin and have your corespinning questions answered, this is a perfect place to start. If you’ve wondered what core to use; if you should pre-twist you core; how to get rid of the extra twist; what is the best fiber prep, this is the answer class where all your basic corespinning questions will be answered!

Materials fee: $35

Level: can spin a single and ply

STUDENTS SHOULD BRING

  • Wheel with a large orfice (3/8” or more) to accommodate textured yarns
  • At least 2 bobbins
  • Lazy kate
  • Pen and Paper to take notes
  • Niddy noddy and any additional spinning tools you prefer.
  • Fiber will be provided, but you’re also encouraged to bring any additional fiber prep (top, batts, rolags) you are curious to corespin
