Learn basic mindfulness techniques and how to incorporate them into your spinning! Mindfulness meditation, or the practice of being fully aware in the present moment, has been shown to improve mood, lower stress, reduce pain, and improve memory. First, Maggie, who has studied with many spiritual leaders (including the Dalai Lama) will start off by talking about proper posture for mindfulness, and then you’ll practice mindfulness basics by focusing on the breath and breathing. You’ll also do mindfulness practices focused on fiber preparation, fiber texture, and fiber color. You’ll come away from the class with new skills in mindfulness meditation that you’ll be able to use to your benefit anytime you like, and especially while spinning!
