April 28, Friday – PM Half Day Class
Knitted lace edgings are a beautiful addition to garments, linens, and accessories. Because these trims are typically done on just a few stitches, they are a practical way to use small quantities of hand spun yarns, exploring the structure and techniques of knitted lace. Great for introductory lace knitters, as well as those wanting to advance their understanding of what knitted lace is all about. Students will spin cotton and use their hand spun cotton yarn to knit lace edging. Methods for attaching lace, mitering, grafting, and blocking will be covered.
