Redding Method proprietary techniques are changing the way people dye protein fiber using solid methodology and foundational principles. This intensive class teaches consistency, creativity, and the ability to problem solve quickly while simultaneously thrilling you with depth of color you never knew possible. During this two-day class you’ll learn: Redding Method foundational principles, What no one ever taught you about fleece (that ALWAYS matters), How to stack your multi fiber pots (and pans), Dyeing your first “Mother of All” pot, “What, when, how and why” of dyeing, Recreating inspiration via hybrid method, Iridescence, How to TRULY evaluate any pot, and finally, Fixing mistakes. Utilizing the methodology garnered, you’ll walk away with a plethora of knowledge and amazing “dyed by you” fibers.
Materials fee $85 for fiber and dyeing supplies. Optional $20 to rent a personal indoor-safe butane stove and fuel, a large 22 quart pot and large, flat hotel pan for dyeing (even bottom so it doesn’t rock). If you do not rent these things, you must must bring them with you.
