Delve into the fascinating world of chenille with Stephenie Gaustad. Stephenie will lead a discussion on the three ways to produce chenille: 2 harness conventional woven chenille: spaced warp serves as binder, then after weaving, cut weft becomes the fuzzy effect yarn. Then a discussion of 4 harness Tubular woven chenille: effect yarn is warp, binder spirals acoss the warp. After weaving, the tube is cut in a spiral. You’ll also have a hands on exploration of knotted chenille aka “Baggy Wrinkles”: two/four warps, rya tied effect yarn.
You’ll leave this class knowing more than you went in knowing!
